Week 6 Reflection

For week 6 we made our food art...

For my food art I made an aquarium out of cheeze-its, fruit loops, popcorn, and goldfish, and for the butterfly I used apples, cheeze-its, fruit loops, and popcorn. These types of activities affect the development of children by teaching them how to recycle and to use their creative skills. It also could develop patience and resilience if someone messes up or fails. You could use this activity in your curriculum for may lessons. You could use them for lessons on recycling, nutrition, and science.

Next, we went to the Maltby center to look at the art gallery and museum.

There was two pieces of art that stood out to me at the gallery. The first one was the picture of the old car and tree that when you walked side to side, it shifted from being an old tree to a new tree and an old car to a newer car. I don't remember who made the painting, but it was very cool. The second one I found very interesting was the one with the hands and feet out of the sheet with the red things next to it. I remember reading the paper that was with it saying it was a representation of thoughts and I though that was really cool how they demonstrated that in the art.
