Week 12 Blog

  Some of the new concepts I learned this week were statue, narrative pantomime, teacher in role, person in a mess, and hot seating. Statuing is when in the book the students have to freeze in a position. Narrative pantomime is when you make a movement similar to what the book is talking about while still reading the book. Teacher in role is when the teacher does the role of the book. A person in a mess is when the teacher asks the students for a solution to a problem someone in the book is having. Lastly, hot seating is when you make a student be the character in the book and ask them how they are feeling. I feel like using drama techniques as a teaching tool is a great idea. I think it is very useful to keep students engaged and focused. These activities might affect the learning and development of children in a good way because it could make them more confident in front of their peers and other things like that.   Emma Stankovic  Week 10 Blog  Creative Expression  (1)  I think getting to create your own story is very beneficial because you get to use your imagination and your ideas to create a story. You get to be more creative and go in whatever direction you please. However, using the AI to assist writing a story was very helpful when you hit a road block or need to add more context or ideas. I think when using the AI to assist, the story isn't as detailed so you do have to add your own details.  (2) You can use these Ai programs for so many reasons. The first way you could use the AI is to help with lesson plans and to give ideas for an activity or lesson plan. You could also use them to help you build problems for a test such as math or questions on a reading exam. You could also use it with your students to have them tell the students jokes at the start of class, or to have them learn new fun facts.
